The word yoga means unity or oneness. Yoga aims at bringing the different bodily function into perfect co-ordination. It's a systematic process for the all round personality development at the physical, mental, intellectual, emotional and spiritual level.By constant practice of yoga one can control mind to the maximum extent.

Yoga is neither an exercise nor a therapeutic science. It is a way of life through which body mind and spirit can be purified and strengthened.

When we go back to the cradle of civilization we come across a truth that man was always seeking for health and happiness. Without Health there is no meaning in life. Easterners as well as Westerners from the time immemorial began to think many ways to get eternal happiness and yoga is the means to that end. The Modern World is full of chaos and confusion. Yoga is the only panacea for the stress, strain and frustration of human society.

One may think that yoga denies a reality of material existence. But it never leads us away from worldly life. It does not ignore the very great effect that the physical world has upon it.

To gain a successful life total health is most important. Yoga provides tools to attain this total health through Asanas, Pranayama and meditation. Yoga is a complete lifestyle, which discusses diet, exercise for body, mind control and guidelines for integrating spiritual life in to our life. Ayurveda, the science of traditional medicines talks about healthy life style increasing the quality of life and longevity.

Yoga is not about obsession of doing a particular pose or asana but it is a harmony between body and mind. According to yoga philosophy the purpose of life is self-realization and to achieve unity. But most people find this a little too out of their reach and not a concept that is easy to grab onto. Whatever work we do, we should do it 100%, if we are a husband, wife, mother, son, chef, banker, cleaner, whatever roles we have in life we should try to fulfill them to the best of our abilities. Discovering what is suitable and right for us is another matter and where yoga can help. Yoga is all about looking inside and understanding the mind.

Treatments

In our hectic schedule we find no time to care for our health. This makes us restless & later affects the proper body functioning. We are under great pressure of work & other day-to-day activities which leave us with much little time to relax & relish. Also we don’t think of spending time to build our body rather fill in the tummy full with non-nutritious food just to get relief out of hunger, disregarding its consequences. This includes fast food (hot, spicy, oily etc) & soft drinks. It is so pity that we find time to fill our gut but not even a single second to build our body! Here arises the actual problem of not maintaining our body fitness. This can ultimately lead to various physical, mental, physiological, behavioral & even psychological disorders.
